felt like a schizo
Worst day for me to be in the lab. My head feels sort of light and my nose keeps running. I think it’s all that prancing around in the cold night for three consecutive days. Hoisted by my own petard. My post doc comes in late on Mondays because it’s too early when I come in. So I picked up the three glass test tubes that he inoculated. I dropped two of them. Dropped one of them twice until the glass tube was reduced to half of its size and I had to pickup the glass shards. I was too scared to tell my post-doc so I did the experiment anyways. That’s not even the end of it. I had to centrifuge the ligation reactions from those three batches. My finger touched the centrifuge wheel during cycle, two test tubes flew out, uncapped and spilled half of their content out. I knew I basically compromised this experiment. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH here’s the funny part. I got results from one of the tubes! An actual ligation. My post doc was really excited, he said he had tried but didn’t get it. He finally called it progress. Now how did that happen?
I’m tired and I am going to make mashed potatoes now.
